Newcastle City Council is resurface the Road along Mosley Street between the Swan House round-about and the junction at St Nicholas Street.

The resurfacing work will involve replacing the existing road surface with a new black tarmac surface and renewal of the road markings.

The work is programmed to begin (weather permitting) within the section between the Swan House round-about and Grey Street on the evening and through the nights of Sunday 9 August and Monday 10 August. There will be a full road closure in operation and traffic will be diverted within the hours 7.00pm -6.00am.

Work to the section between Grey Street and St Nicholas Street will be done on the evening and through the nights of Monday, Tuesday 11 and possibly Wednesday 12 August 2009 within the hours of 7.00pm  -6.00am. There will be a partial road closure in operation and again the traffic will be diverted.

We anticipate that due to the nature of the work there will be some noise and traffic disruption and every effort will be made to keep  these to a minimum. We apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.

If you have any special access requirements which may be affected by the proposed works, please advise Yvonne Roberts, telephone number 0191 232 8520 ext 25941.
