Arrests over taxi driver robbery in Slough

Nine people have been arrested after a taxi driver in his 70s was attacked by a gang of robbers in Slough, Berkshire.

The man was punched and kicked and had his satellite navigation system, mobile phone and car keys stolen in the attack in Cardigan Close early on Sunday.

Four boys, aged 16, 16, 16 and 17, and two men, aged 19 and 20, were held with two 17-year-old girls and an 18-year-old woman. They were later bailed.

The taxi driver was taken to an eye specialist hospital in London.

He has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
