We have ‘Pink ladies’ wanting to give free Taxi rides’ to members of their club…Now Taxi drivers are pandering to the ideas of ‘The flavour of the month local councillor’ and running around like headless chickens to do themselves out of the less than minimum wage they already get! Taxis are already cheaper than the Bus and other local transport. Ask your councillor what his mileage allowance is and you will probably find that it’s more than the average taxi driver’s Tarrif 2…..I’ll bet you he’s moved on to the next good cause before you get an answer and you will have added another couple of hours to your working day…..and as for the ‘Pink Ladies’ these suffragettes appear every few years, thinking they invented the idea of a Ladies only taxi service…Good luck with that.
