The tyre was not illegal. The officer issued a standard producer and advised that the tyre was changed and the tracking of the vehicle checked. We have records of all tryes fitted to company vehicles at my garage. The tyre was 2 weeks old. The tracking was corrected immediatley and a new tyre fitted.

Only yellow cabs have the right to stop for passengers when hailed, but with businesses cutting costs by using fewer “black cars†that serve the corporate clientele, drivers are hunting for customers on the street.
In the near future, TLC’s undercover enforcement officers will pose as passengers and, if the unauthorized cabs pull over when hailed, the drivers will face a $350 fine.

I was indeed concerned today when the owner of Central taxis in North shields, was removed from the front position on North Shields Taxi rank, Yes the very same that he slates in his adverts in the paper, By a Traffic Policeman. He was taken down the yard and the Policeman inspected his vehicle and brought out his little black book.

An integral part of the process is public consultation and the draft policy is offered for public consultation between 20 June and 18 September 2008.

Newcastle Hacks Protest Against Berwick Licenced Cars
Newcastle Taxi drivers Takings are down over the last few months as more and more Berwick Licenced cars are issued to drivers from tyneside,some of whom have probably never even been to Berwick-upon Tweed, yet no one seems to care but the legitimate Taxi drivers who are affected the most by this ridiculous state of affairs. It could only happen in Britain!!
